You stole my heart as soon as I heard your little heart beat that day in the doctor's office. My day was brightened every time I felt those little flutters from you, your kick, your hiccups. When we finally got to meet you, I remember thinking just how absolutely perfect you were, how it feels like I've known you my whole life. Now, I can't even remember what it was like without you. My love for you is something that only mothers can really understand. It has been the most amazing year, watching your personality develop and grow into this rambunctious 1 year old. You are so smart, so loving, and so fun. I want you to always remember that you are so loved. It's been a great first year. We still have a lot of growing up to do together, and I can't wait... Thank you for choosing us to be your parents. We love you, little monster!

I know I'm partial but Max is just the cutest baby ever!!! I can't get enough of his silly faces and adorable smiles.

Time Flies

Our little guy is 6 months old today! Man, how time flies. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was still pregnant.

The last couple of weeks has been tough on his little body. He tested positive for Rhinovirus, RSV, and had an ear infection. Then the antibiotics upset his stomach and kept getting diaper rashes. I had to give him breathing treatments and he absolutely hated the nebulizer. On top of all this, he was teething! It was so sad to see him sick! He's better now, still has a nasty cough but is happy again, which makes us happy.

Max has grown so much in these short 6 months, it is so fun to see his personality develop. He is so silly. Favorite thing: tugging on his socks until they come off and then chews on them. I just think it's so funny because I have all these socks that don't have a match because he just leaves them in random places! I love him so much I don't even care that by mid-day, I am soaked in his drool. Being Max's mom is one of the best (and hardest) thing I've ever experienced.

He loves to talk and constantly coos and sometimes screams, it's actually a pretty impressive screech lol. Hopefully he doesn't screech like that for much longer, I don't think others will find it very cute. He can roll over and is already trying to scoot when on his tummy, so excited for him to start crawling. We love you, Max!

I can't believe he is already 3 months old! It's been such a crazy roller coaster. Seriously the hardest, tiring, and exhilarating 3 months ever. Max has grown so much in such a short amount of time, it amazes me the amount of things babies learn! He has the cutest dimples and smile, I'm such a sucker for his smile! He's sleeping 6 hours straight and then sleeps another 3 hours after nursing, I'm starting to gain back my brain little by little :-) He is such a talker and coos at me and Beau all day. Love, love, love him so much!

It is amazing how much having a baby can change your life. Everybody tells you that but it's definitely something that needs to be experienced in order to understand fully.

I never knew how overwhelming and all-consuming the love for a child is, I could sit there and stare at Max for the whole day and be content. It's also amazing how having a baby can bring two people together, I thought my love for Beau was as strong as it could ever be but since we've had Max, our love and closeness to each other has grown immensely.

Max is just absolutely perfect. He has grown so much just in these two months! He has the cutest chub on him and the most heart winning smile. (I'm a little biased though). I'm gonna be in trouble because I'm a little sucker for that smile of his. He is so alert and loves talking and being talked to, I spend hours talking to him at a time and he is totally content like that. He loves bath time and being naked and gets mad at us every time we put clothes on him. He is already so strong and doesn't need head support and can sit up already. Being a parent has got to be the hardest yet most rewarding thing I've ever done... I cannot wait to watch him grow and learn more about his personality.
