I think this was one of the best books I've read in quite a while. It was so touching to read about the culture and lives that these people lived. The author has a way of painting such a realistic picture with his words. After reading the Kite Runner, I was a little weary coming into this one but it's worth it. It is a tough read but I highly recommend it.

It was so good....and so sad. It's so crazy to think that stuff like that is going on today....we are so far removed. I loved it as well. It made me so grateful for all I have, and where I live! We are so blessed.
